‘Tis the season, and nothing makes us happier! If you’re anything like us, you’re ready to deck the halls and get festive. But with meals to plan, cookies to bake and gifts to wrap, holiday decorating can be totally overwhelming. We’re excited to bring you our designer’s guide to holiday decor. We’re sharing all of our favorite tips on how to deck the halls, but keep it simple - and chic.

Think Outside The Box

When it comes to color, look beyond red & green, blue & silver. Winter white, gold, even rich berry colors and pastels like pink can make a beautiful holiday palette.

All In The Details

From your holiday table setting to the wrapping paper on the gifts under your tree, those special details make all the difference during the holidays. To really wow your guests, we love the gorgeous napkin rings and holiday plates from Juliska (above) that evoke a sense of vintage holiday glamour.

Go Beyond The Living Room

Don’t forget rooms like the bedroom and powder rooms when decorating for the holidays - just make sure to stick to a theme and carry it throughout so the decor feels consistent.

Bring The Outside, In.

Bring natural textures into the home to evoke a holiday atmosphere - birch, burlap, pinecones, and of course greenery and garlands of all kinds.

Don’t Underestimate The Power Of Scent

There is nothing like fragrance to evoke the nostalgia of the holidays. We can’t get enough scented candles this time of year - but think beyond that, too - cinnamon sticks, real pine garlands, or wintery floral arrangements can do the trick. For scented candles, we love the custom candles from Taja Collection - their mistletoe holiday limited edition scent is everything!

All That Sparkles

We love decorative elements that add some sparkle, like using mercury glass throughout the home to add a chic and festive touch. Don’t shy away from glitter, either - especially on tree ornaments where they give off a gorgeous effect against lights.

Holiday Hosting Made Easy

Add simple touches around your home to make holiday guests feel at home. Place plates of holiday cookies in sitting areas, and leaving a gorgeous welcome basket in your guest rooms stocked with luxurious bath products and toiletries add a special touch.
